finally Cloudy Busey has a new song. actually it's old as shit.

we are still working hard on new ice cream shout and Cloudy Busey material but I figured we should put something out to remind everyone that we're still alive.

this song was written about three years ago and ice cream shout has been playing it live for quite a while but the recording had been stuck at 90% until recently. my DJing partner Paul started a remix that I really loved and it inspired me to finish the original.

I also ran into Hyang Soon who did the art on our first record and begged her to do something for this song. I really love it. it's pretty!!

we've made a video for it starring missing band member mikafika. it's our first 100% original video. no cool old grainy video to prop us up. i figured I was depriving future generations of the chance to associate their nostalgia with a medium more representative of the actual time period. kids of the future should look back at us and say "1080i video is so fucking cool, look at how shitty it was!" i was being bad a ancestor as they say so i bought a dslr and these scenes were basically the first footage I shot with it. for my first video I'm pleased, it's way better than the first song I wrote. And Mika turned out to be a pretty good actress.

end of winter update

ice cream shout is safe. Kansai was pretty much untouched (knock on wood). we could feel it here but not enough to be a danger. a tsunami is unlikely to affect our area as well. the tsunami videos are unbelievable. it's hard to imagine the feelings of the people dealing with it on the ground.

in other news of far less significance by comparison, tomorrow, Mika will be moving to Thailand with no definite plan to return. she's decided not to quit the band but it remains to be seen how much she will be able to contribute. in the meantime, Chris, Fumi and myself will continue on as before. we're looking for a drummer and a multi instrumentalist to help us play live so if you know anyone, send them our way. there is also the possibility of a collaboration with a "sister" band of ours.

a week after Mika leaves, my friend Paul will be returning from new zealand to resume his adventure in Japan. at least temporarily he'll be crashing here and we're planning to get our dj/producer unit moving again. hopefully we'll have something to share this spring.

also with the spring comes my annual job change. i've decided to quit one of my jobs so i can have more time for music. after a year of basically working 60 hours a week i'm burned out and desperate to work on music more. i think my original plan of having a physical release each for ics and Cloudy Busey may not happen this year but things will definitely pick up soon. we've got quite a few songs on the burners and they just need some attention from a less overworked producer.

ところで、私事で恐縮ですが、わたくしミカは、突然ながら３月中旬からタイに住むことになりました。

パタヤという町のインターナショナルな病院で語学をいかしたお仕事に就くことになったのです。お仕事はとても楽しみですが、ice cream shoutとは離ればなれになってしまいます。

最近やっと関西でのライブ活動を通してバンド同士のともだちが増えて来たりしていたところでもあって、今離れるのは寂しいのですが、仕事に関してはずっと悩んで来ただけあってやっぱりチャンスを逃したくないので行くことに決めました。わがままな選択ではあるので色々と迷惑をかけてしまうことになるのですが、これからも作曲は続けて、遠くからでもできるだけバンドに参加できたらいいな、と思っています。

それとタイの音楽シーンを発掘するのが楽しみです！

この間、Yellow Fangというバンドを教えてもらったんですが、とっても好みで何かワクワクします。何か面白そうなことあったら教えて下さいね。

NEWS-Tattooed Tears Metrotune Remix & artwork!!

Metrotune from the same country we live in made an amazing remix of Tattooed Tears!

The remix had a premier on Stadiums and Shrines and the post has an interview with Bob.

Then on the Swedish blog No Modest Bear the remix comes with a brand new art work! The art work is done by Thom James from Britain.

There is a blog called Make Believe Melodies and this must be the best guide to the Japanese music scene! They or he or she (i guess he) writes about artist from famous J-POP stars to some unknown indie bands found on myspace. And he could be friends with Bob cause they both like J Dilla...

Anyway he (or she or they) didn't only wrote about the remix but also about mikafika. (and also about our new friends Twinkle Twinkles!)

ice cream shout now has a video camera. actually a DSLR that shoots HD video. Mika and i have started making a video for broken by inertia, a new song that we've started playing live. hopefully we'll have it done by the end of this month.

in the meantime, i've started another project - just myself - called Cloudy Busey. get it? clever huh. it just came to me. i was thinking of using outdoorminer but by now it's kinda cheating to use another band's song for your band name.

ice cream shout songs come from a variety of sources. some are just me, some are just Mika and others from the group as a whole. some of my own songs don't work with ice cream shout, not always from a difference in sound but the simple fact that we could never play it live. it seemed pointless to use such a song for a band when the band will never really use it. Cloudy Busey will be the outlet for these orphans.

the first of these orphans is called 'pound your town to hell'. it's an ethereal and cinematic narrative about teenagers on motorcycles living in a mountain town. if i had the cast of the outsiders or even the lost boys, wes anderson and a welsh mining town at my disposal i would have made a video for it. actually i would have made a whole movie for it. sadly i don't so a repurposed edit of Psychomania will have to suffice. some of the visuals are in line with what i was imagining as i wrote the song so i'm satisfied for now but consider it a stand in for the video that never was.

album review-review

thanks to Richard at MOKB for the retroactive review of our first album. I think his review is pretty spot on and it mirrors a lot of my thoughts about it. it was our first record and thus was more of an experiment than a coherent statement. there were a lot of compromises and missteps but we learned a lot from them. as debuts go it was more Pablo Honey than Appetite for Destruction.

in retrospect the biggest mistake was the medium. it was really meant to be vinyl. and that vinyl was meant to be played on Mika's warped plastic record player with one tinny sounding speaker. without that vibe it doesn't match my imagination. hopefully we can remedy that in the future with a proper vinyl release for people to play on their own dilapidated turntables.

for the next release we are still debating what to do logistically. is there any reason to make albums? should we just make singles? I'm really excited about making videos too. I want to have videos for every song. if you want to make a video with us or for us, please let us know. or not, just go ahead and do it.

in any case the next release is coming soon and i am really excited about it.

we've started playing this song live recently. like marianne it was a group effort to create and also like marianne it is one of my favorite songs. i've been wanting you use the song title for a long time to write a dreamy pop song about Morrissey and latino gangsters but as i worked on it i happened to notice a triangle of synchronicity take shape around the Smiths, Cholos, and East of Eden so it ended up being about all three.

yes i intentionally stole some Smiths lyrics but they are references to those songs and besides, Morrissey stole "(prison name), here we come" from a movie so i can steal it too.

it will probably change a bit by the time it gets released but i like this version and chris and i were talking about how our myspace page was a bit behind and needed some new blood.

リンダちゃん！
９０年代に小学生だったのに、不思議なことに私のアイドルはリンダちゃんだった。

この曲は知りませんでした。
（でも、もしかしたら、６年生のときに親のともだちが貸してくれた７インチコレクションにあったかも？）
今日iTunesをシャッフルさせてたら、近田春男＆ハルヲフォンバージョンが流れて「これはまさに私好み！」と思ってユーチューブで探したら、もっと直球なリンダちゃんバージョンを聴けて、見れて、よかった。
リンダバージョンはディスコやしね。

そういえば、震災後に被災地だった地元の学校に無料コンサートに来てくれて観に行ったな〜。

みなさんこんにちは
ごぶさたしております。
もし、ちょくちょくのぞいてくださっている方がいたら、ごめんなさい。。

４月のライブはとても楽しかったです。
ソロのライブでは、ハングリーハーツとfukucoちゃんのクレイジー＆ワンダフルなステージ
翌日の中津vi-codeさんでのライブは、飛び入りでハングリーハーツにダンス＆歌をやってもらいました。
とてもうれしかったのですが、無鉄砲なことをし申し訳なく思っています。
過去のライブリストに写真を載せました。

先日はパラダイスでのライブでした。
ギター担当のクリスが残念ながら仕事でこられなくなったので、３人でのライブをすることになりました。
最近やっていなかった、between you & I のbright versionや、room of painなど、おとなしめの曲に加え、
今回で演奏するのが３回目の、Headed into Hellや、３人とも振り付け付きで歌うディスコキトゥンなどを披露しました。
前にも書いたと思いますが、パラダイスは自然とお客さんとの距離が近くなる特別な場所です。

今回はおしゃれなイケメンバンドが勢揃いで最初緊張しましたが、みなさん優しい方ばかりで。。。
そして音楽もすごくかっこよかったです！！
トリの1 POINTではきゃー！というのを押さえられなかったです！！

1POINTのギターの方とは、お互いどこかで見たことあるよなー、と思っていたら
時々お世話になるスタジオのお兄さんでした。
以前ice cream shoutでドラムを担当していたじゅんちゃんと最後に練習したときに、記念にスタジオで一発録音したのですが
そのときに録音のお手伝いをしてくれていた方でした！
その音源をアメリカ・ポートランド在住のじゅんちゃんがアップしてくれたので、よかったら聴いてみてください。

３月７日はお馴染みの扇町パラダイスでのライブでした。

１１月以来のライブ、そして４人編成での初ライブなのでした。

パラダイスのライブはいつもスタッフの方々もお客さんも温かく見守ってくれて落ち着きます。歌も演奏も上手いか下手かは別として楽しんですることができたし、お客さんも楽しんでくれたようで何よりです。

新曲を３曲披露しました。

新曲といってもBlack Cassetteは５、６年前に書いた曲です。

この曲をバンドでやるとは思ってもみなかったので意外ですが幸せです。

Headed Into Hellという最後にやった曲の評判がよくて嬉しかったです。

何曲か打ち込みドラムを使って演奏しました。

PA滝井さんのプロの技、待ってました〜！って感じにエコーを入れてくれたり感激しました。

Disko Kittenのう〜うっふ〜ってとこのことです。

共演バンドもおもしろい夜でありました。

パパピプPEPO!

ラップトップとシンセとサンプラーを使ってはります。

わたしたちも使うけど全く違う使い方。

クールなたたずまいの女子お二人。

サンプラーさばきがかっこ良かったです。

とても好みな音！

シライリゾートオーケストラ

私が好きな楽器たくさん、メンバーも大勢。

マンドリン、鍵盤ハーモニカ、トイピアノ、ウィンドチャイム、鉄琴、パーカッションたくさん。そのうちのひとつシェイカーを貸していただきました。（忘れ物の多いわたし）

陽気な方々。シライリゾートさんがいるときは客席もにぎやかでよいです。

ドーラさんはなぜか勝手に男女２人ユニットかと思い込んでいましたがギター弾き語りの男性です。ギターの弾き方と、狙っていない「間」が好きでした。

FUTA9082は以前共演した「さまあのごはん」と同一人物なのでした。

バンド編成で女の子に囲まれていました。

あの気怠い感じのポップがわたしはとても好きです。

パパピプPEPO!のサチさんはこのバンドではベースで活躍されていました。

サークレッツでもシンセを弾いてるマルチな方です。

噂ではかなりたくさんのバンドに所属しているとか。

ice cream shoutは今回はじめて、バッグを作って販売しました。

今回は３枚しか作れなかったのですが（どれも１点もの！）そのうちの１枚をサチさんが買ってくれたので記念撮影。お買い上げありがとうございます！

今年２番目のライブ＆ice cream shout 初ライブ

こんばんは

今年２番目に行ったライブは１月３０日ベアーズでのjenny on the planet企画のライブイベントです。
去年一度ライブを観て虜になったsquimaon（squimaotoのお二人が、もう一人の方が育児休暇中にやってはるバンド）を聴きに。
ずっと気になっていたjenny on the planetも一緒だったし、よかったです。

この間、といっても何ヶ月か前の話やけど、スウェーデンのラジオインタビューを受けたときに、「日本の新しいバンドでいいの教えて！」って聞かれてなかなか思いつかなくて困ったのですが、今もし聞かれたら、絶対Squimaoto!もしくは丸尾丸子さん。
新しいバンドかどうか分からないけど。。。
同じ関西にこんなかっこいい音楽をつくるかわいい人たちがいるなんてなんて素敵なことでしょう。

どんな音楽かは、説明が下手なのでできないですが、とにかくオリジナルでかっこいい。
歌声もきれいでメロディーもドラムもいいです。
この不規則なリズムと不思議なギター、どんな風にしたら生まれるんだろう。
２人や３人だけでもこんなすごいライブができるんだなあ。

今日はジョアンナ・ニューサムのライブを観に行こうか迷っていましたが、節約ため、

あと大阪に行くのが面倒だったので近所にインドカレー屋さんができたので食べにいきました。色んなカレーを楽しめるプレートを注文しました。チキンカレー、まめカレー、エビカレー、チキンのミンチのカレー。ターメリックライスはおかわり自由なのでおかわりしました。すごくおいしかったのでおすすめです！奈良にお越しの際はお連れします〜。

ランチは580円から、とかなりお得。

昨日スーパーに行って鶏肉が安かったけれど、こんなに安いと複雑な気分になって、お肉をみるのもいやで買わなかったのですが（２０代前半はベジタリアンだった）、今日はチキンカレーを注文するミーハーな私なのでした。。。まあ自称ベジタリアンだった頃もミーハーやったけれど。

それからやっと、ブロークバックマウンテンを観ました。

自然の映像がとても綺麗です。山や、湖、羊。

羊の群れだけで画面を埋め尽くすとか、すごいです。

感想はまたいつか別の機会にします。

もう夜中の２時になってしまいました。

今年の初ライブ

この間YEAH YEAH YEAHS のライブを観に行った。
ずーっと好きなこのバンド、久々のライブをみれてすごく素敵でうれしくて泣きそうだった。
カレンちゃんはすごい体力だなあ。
そして笑顔がかわいい。絶対にいいひと。
衣装が感動的に最高。
もちろん今もニューアルバム大好きでよく聴いているし、昔のアルバムやEPも聴いている。でも懐かしかった。2000年代初頭に衝撃のEP を聞いてシングルもMachineを聞きまくって、当時のルームメイト女子三人で歌いまくって踊りまくったりしてて、アルバムは最初はちょっとなじめなかったけどそのちょっと後のクアトロに初来日観に行って大好きになって。。。と思い出がいっぱいで。。。

前のほうでぎゅうぎゅうでみてたけど気にならないくらい魅力的な演奏、パフォーマンスでした。ニックはあんまり見えなかったけど、ブライアンめちゃハッピーフェイス。

がんばって探してみつけた写真より。
（今回のライブの写真ではない）
下の写真のインディアンの総長のような帽子（？）素敵。一回落っことしてたけど。来てたのはいろんな服に着替えてたけど、上の写真の着物みたいなの。この柄かっこいい。あと、"ZERO"は"get your leather on on on" っていうので、この曲の時だけレザージャケットを着てて、そういうことするとこがかわいい。

そのあと女子のみ飲み会で乾杯して楽しかった！

こんにちは

もうすぐ２００９年もおわり。

２００９年最後のライブは１１月のパラダイス。

この日はすごく混んでいて、オールスタンディングでぎゅうづめでした。

（他のバンドのお客さんで）

やっぱり、たくさんの人が体揺らしながら聴いてくれているライブが好きです。

ドラムやキーボードを担当していたじゅんちゃんが、アメリカ・ポートランドに引っ越すことになり、彼女とは最後のライブになりました。

今年最後の、と５人で最後のライブ、よいものになってよかったと思います。

ポートランドと言えばこんな素敵な本『Oh Portland, So Much To Answer For（オレゴン州ポートランドの音楽と人とレコード）』が出ていたので、パステルレコードで購入後じゅんちゃんにお餞別として渡しました。

ポートランドの成り立ちについての話とか歴史とかってこんな変で面白いんや！と色々な発見があり、すごく行ってみたくなりました。
あと、本の作りがまたいいんです。リソグラフ2色刷り（リソグラフ大好き）を駆使していて、なんかとても親しみの湧く手触りとアナログ感です。
お手頃価格ですし是非一読を。私も自分用買わないと。

Lillmagさんでの紹介文も素敵。
「これからの自分たちの街／シーンづくりに活かす気持ちで読みたい一冊。」

I got to sing a Scraps song ("sex") together! What an honor.

Sam and Bridget (billy whims) stayed at our house in Nara and we hanged out in the park and met deer, went to temples and 100 yen store. We did some craft together and they made us delicious food!

Here they are making "picklets" for breakfast.

They were tiny tiny pancakes and we made rabbit versions too. It was yummy and fun to eat.

They told us about their hometown in Tasmania and showed us pictures.

I'd really really love to visit there!

They are now in America, and Dollface and Scraps are in Finland now.

I hope they are having a good time thought it's cold and dark outside.

Hi!

We've been quiet for a while...

Australian Indie Pop Party was a lot of fun!

It is really nice to get to know new people through music.

And of course to discover really good music too!!

I'll put up some pictures from the show on the next post.

We have some news, so I'll write down a brief list below..

（いくつかニュースです。１番は少し前に書いたカバーのことです。）

1. Name The Pet cover

Well I wrote about it a while ago in Japanese and maybe you understood it from the links and pictures, but we recorded a cover song called London. It is a really beautiful song which was originally written by a Swedish star called Hanna Brandén aka Name The Pet.

You can see her playing the song in the video below and listen to the cover on our myspace page.

2. Interview

I was interviewed by the Swedish national radio program called P3 POP.

It's great but feels a little unreal because it's been my favorite favorite program for many years.

Anyway you can listen to the interview on monday between 22:03 and 24:00 on the radio in Sweden or even on internet afterwards. (it's all in Swedish though)

スウェーデンの国営ラジオ局の素敵なポップ専門番組、P3 POPに電話でインタビューされました。スウェーデン語のみですが、火曜からここで聴けますー。スウェーデンに住んでた頃からのお気に入り番組だったので、自分がでるなんて思ってもいませんでしたが大変光栄です。

NAME THE PET!!

スウェーデンでかなり話題になっている、ハンナちゃんことName The Pet。

スウェーデンの小さな街、Gävle（イェーヴレ）出身で、高校はジャズ科に通い（そんな学科があるなんていいよな。）、卒業後はしばらくロンドンにいて服屋さんで働きながら音楽をつくったりしていたそうです。
The Sound of Arrowsとコラボをしたり、シングルを数枚出した時点でもう話題沸騰でスウェーデン国内のフェスやクラブにたくさん出演したり、DJとしても活躍しています。

そんなName The Petがデビューアルバムをリリースします！
（スカンジナビアでは今日発売）
このアルバムのiTunes特典ボーナストラックとして、ice cream shout が"LONDON"という曲をカバーさせてもらいました！！
本人も気に入ってくれとってもとっても光栄です。

わたし、このPSLっていう音楽番組、大好き。

Australian Indie Pop Festivalに出演するdollface & scraps のローラとロビンと遊びに行きました。
彼女たちは奈良や大阪、東京でライブをしたり、京都でホステルに泊まって自転車で街を満喫しまくったり、和歌山県の農家でファームステイしたりして過ごしています。
scrapsのローラは、自分でビデオを作ったりもしています！

これはそのファームステイ先でとったビデオ。撮ってすぐ、MacBookで編集したんだって。

草の伸び放題の裏庭のミステリーと一緒に暗闇で光るうた。

ビリー・ウィムスはお庭のベッドでギター、キーボード、バイオリンでメロディーを紡ぎだす。雨がよく降り、風がよく吹くタスマニアのホバートからオーストラリアや世界の色々なところに彼女の歌は届けられる。Grand SalvoやPeter Joseph Head、Milk Teddy、Sophie Koh、Tiny Vipersなどと共演。EP "Earthquakes" とデビューアルバム"What We Made"で幻想的なインディーフォークポップを表現している。

奈良のカフェsampleの２階のスペース、white roomにてアートの展覧会が9/26から10/2まで。
そのレセプションパーティが26日の夕方５時からwhite roomにて。

お互いの出会いは、奈良→ブリズベンに移り住んだ共通の友人が切欠になっています。極々短絡的な思惑により企画されました(略)。

David Spooner
デービットは、オーストラリアの様々な町で育つ。クイーンズランド工科大学(QUT)で、で芸術科専攻修了後、クイーンズランド州のアートスクール (QCA)で修士号を終え、現在ブリズベンに在住し、アートスクールでスカルプチャーを教えながら自己の作品の制作をし、常に、グループショ?の参加など多彩な活動をしている。デービットの作品は、多くの動物、怪物、恐竜、詩的なフレーズなどを布や毛糸を使い制作、それらが共有して生きているという空間を作るアーティスト。

Akiko Yamazaki
日本の高校卒業後、大学に行く為にオーストラリアのブリスベンにやって来てそのまま１６年。高校で日本語を教えたり大学で勉強してりしている内にいつの間にか絵をかいたりコラージュを作るようになりそのうちだんだん物作りが中心の生活を送るようになる。今も、ブリスベンに住み、スカルプターのアシスタントとして働いたり、ハンドメードの物を売るお店で働きながら、楽しいことを考えながら制作活動中。友達や知らない人といることが好きで今回のブリズフェズのオガナイザーの一人

Zoe Miller
ブリスベンで育ったゾーイは２０頃から８年間カナダのモントリオールで過ごす。カナダでは、大学に行きながらギャラリー、映画館、Tシャツデザイナーとしてはたらく。ブリスベンに帰ってきてから、グラフィックデザイナーとアートトレーナーとして働く。現在は、メルボルンに住み、世界の為に何が出来るか考え中。

Dhana Merritt
ダーナは、ブリスベンでインストレーションアーティストとしての仕事の他、キュレーターそしてギャラリーのマネージャーとしても活躍している。ダーナの作品は、作品が置かれる場所と環境に影響される作品で、伝統的なクラフトトテクノロジーを使った作品をとうして、ダーナのファンタジーやユーモアをオーディエンスに伝える

Ben Byrne
ベンジャミンはブリスベンに住み制作を続けながら大学でも教えアートジャーナリストとしても働く。ブリスベン、シドニ?、東京そしてロンドンでのショーに参加経験もある。ベンジャミンのコラージュ（man and macine)は、エロチズム、男性性、テクノロジー、避けられない死，終末などのアイデアをもとにした作品である。人間の知識と機械の機能はどちらも深い関係があり、お互い機械的なリズムを通して共生していることを認知した作品

Alana Phelan
アラーナは、ブリスベンで，小さい町の中での文化表現の移り変わりを実際に経験しながら育つ。現在、ブリスベンのギャラリーでインターンとして働いている。２００８年には，日本を訪れ，国内を周りながら二本ならでわのスタイルや形などに影響を受ける。現在、ブリスベンで版画、イラスト、コラージュなど様々なスタイルを取り込めた作品の創作している。
今回の作品では、白の紙に写された黒のインクを通し‘混乱’の状態を表現をする。アラーナの作品の中のキャラクターは、それぞれつながりを持ちつつありながらもお互いから距離を保っている。この混乱状態は、彼女がブリスベンで実際に経験する、一人の人間を通じて他の人にも通じているという安心感の持てる中少し窮屈なネットワークの人間関係のネットワークの現実をモチーフとしている

Alice Lang
１９８３年にオーストラリアにあるバイロンベイ生まれのアリスは、２００４年にブリスベンにあるクイーンズランド工科大学で芸術科を終えたあと、現在もブリスベンで活動を続けている。アリスは、多くの賞の受賞しで、カナダとニューヨークでのレジデンシーなどをとうして世界を回っている

Sebastian Moody
セバスチャンは、ブリスベンに住むアーティスト。彼の作品は、言葉を使ったコンセプチュアルなもの、公共の場を使い、オーディエンスも参加出来る作品を作る

Henri Van Noordenburg
オランダ生まれのへんりーは、現在ブリスベンに住み大学で教えながら勉強もしている。ヘンリーは写真の他、写真も使ったステージパフォーマンスの活動もしている。

We had a holiday from the band this summer.
Bob and i had a show in Cleveland, USA.
We played both ice cream shout and i scream shout songs.
We are not used to play by ourselves so it felt like it was our first show..
But it was a lot of fun!

なつやすみはアメリカに行ってライブを１回しました。
ice cream shout の曲とi scream shoutの曲両方しましたが
２人でやるのも久々だしなれてなくて、初めてライブしたみたいな気分でしたが楽しかったです。

Bob's friends bands Wee played there too and a band from Minnesota called Akai.
Both were great!
Akai's accordion player's dad is from Japan. I hope we can play together in Japan some day.

今日は母と大阪の外れに出かけた帰りに生駒ケーブルに乗ってみました。

こんなの。これはブルという名前。ネコのもあった。

住宅街もあるので普通のおっちゃんとかが家に帰るのに使っているのが不思議です。

通勤列車がこれって慣れるのでしょうか。

終点をおりると目の前は生駒山上遊園地でした。

山の上は涼しかったです。入場料はいらないし散歩をし、飛行機にのってみました。

めずらしく映画のことなど

１９日のライブ、次の日休みなんですねー。

と気づきました。

なので出番遅めですが、みなさん是非！

最近映画をまたちょくちょく見るようになりました。

２ヶ月前くらいからさかのぼって

Movies I've watched last two months

Pretty in pink

主人公がおしゃれでかわいい！

お金はないけど自分で作ったりして自分なりのファッションを楽しむのってやっぱいいな。

と思った。

Sixteen candles

pretty in pinkの主人公が出てる。

監督も同じなのかな？pretty in pinkとどうしても比べてしまいますが

pretty in pink の方が好き。こっちはドタバタラブコメディでストーリーも単純。

どっちの映画か忘れたけど、このmika miko のビデオのオープニングみたい。

主人公がボーカルの帽子の子ににてる。

で余談だけど

mika miko の新しいビデオ見たら、お気に入りのドラマーがいなくなってる。

かっこよかったのに残念！！　新しい曲もビデオも好きやけど・・・

The Fall （落下の王国）

映像がものすごい！

映画館で見たらもっとすごかったやろうな。

話は作り話と、現実とが混ざり合っていて不思議です。

だんだん悲しくなって行きますが。

とにかく衣装、建築物、ロケーションなど映像に圧倒されます。

Spiklenci slasti （悦楽共犯者）

チェコ映画だからチェコ語かーと思ったら台詞なし。

登場人物同士もほとんど関わりなし、なのに見ていて辛気くさくない。

そして登場人物が快楽のために手作りする道具や儀式？が全部すごいです。

こんな風に表現できるのってすごいな。

後半で突然人形アニメが出てきますが、とてもかわいい

SHORTBUS（ショートバス）

近所の小さなレンタル屋うぇるカム、侮れません。

こんないい映画を飾ってあったよ。

とっても暖かいヒューマンドラマ。

Le TigreのJD（ライブで見て以来大好き！）が出てた。

音楽いっぱいの映画っていいな。

BE KIND REWIND （ボクらのミライへ逆回転）

小さなレンタルビデオ屋さんのビデオが磁気で全滅に。

どうしようもないから自分たちで撮って貸し出そう！って話。

このアイデアに感動。

上の写真はゴーストバスターズ撮影中。
やっぱ手作りっていいな〜と再確認。

Rosemary's Baby （ローズマリーの赤ちゃん）

ミア・ファローつながり。

ミア・ファローがもうほんまにかわいい。

そしてかわいそうだった。

そして隣のおばちゃんは、見た目も中身も大阪のおばちゃん。

だんだん疲れて感想が適当になってきました・・・

alla vi barn i Bullerbyn （やかまし村のこどもたち）

こどもの頃大好きだった本の映画。

とくに何も起こらない、田舎のこどもたちの平和なお話。

ただこどもたちがわーってなって遊んでるだけの場面にじーんと来ます。

最近小学校に働きに行っていて、自然と自分が小学生だった頃のことを思い出すんですが、なぜかじーんとくるのです。

別に悲しいこと思い出した訳じゃないのに。

きっと年をとってきたからかなー？？

きっと子どもに戻りたいんやろうなー。

戻ってこんな自然いっぱいのとこで遊びまくって育ちたい。

以上普段書きなれてない映画の感想でした！

もうちょっと作品数をしぼって詳しく書いてもよかったですね。。。

こんばんは

京都でライブの２週末。
見に来ていただいた方、企画していただいた方、共演者の方々ありがとうございました。

8日は立命館。
マイレター２回目みました。
好きです。ギターの音色きれい。
声も男女３人素敵。
ドラムも素敵。トムを低い位置に置いてるドラムセットが好きです。
女の子がドラムやベースをやっているのが好きです。
ってわたしたちもやけどね。
手作りCDやステッカーもかなりかわいくてきゃぴきゃぴしまた。

ドッポさんの道具の箱にKレーベルのシールが貼ってあってテンションがあがりました。

14はアバンギルド。

やっぱりご飯最高。
ドリアを食べました。

we lost momentum getting our album done but it's really close now. just a few more vocal things then we can mix it. i'm excited to put that batch of songs behind us and move on. our songwriting is getting better so i can't wait to hear how our new songs will sound. i hope we are able to reinterpret our roles in the band as well. i want to start exploring more with our new songs.

i've been writing more country songs and we're putting one of them into our live show. in spite of how many people that seem to like it i've never been satisfied with spiderbite live so i think it's time to take it out of regular rotation. suckered in by sirens seems to come off a lot better. it'll be even better when we get an acoustic guitar to use live.

ice cream shoutの次のライブは16日の二条NANOです。前回のライブ楽しかったので今回のライブもみんな楽しみにしています！お店の人も優しくて対バンさんも素敵なので楽しみです。前回見に来てくれた方も本当に有難うございました。
私は当日仕事があってリハーサルには間に合わないかも知れないので仕事が終わったらダッシュする予定ですけど電車の乗り継ぎがうまくいきますように。今回はライブ前に飲むことは出来なさそうだから残念です。

今回もしかしたら新曲を披露できるかもしれません。昨日決まりました。まだスタジオで2回しかしかも途中までしか練習やってないんですけど、早くみんなに皆さんに披露したいと思ってるんであと一回の練習で仕上げるつもりです！自主練もがんばらなくちゃです。
もう一つ、まだ披露してない新曲があります。それもこれからどんどん練習して早くライブでやりたいです。
ロボットな感じの曲ですよー

京都で２回目のライブ、nanoでは初めてのライブの１月１５日。
昔は成人の日でしたね。未だに慣れません、３連休制度。

今回はイスの並んでいない初めての会場でした。
小さい場所だけれどお客さんがたくさんいて、立ってみてくれていて、体が揺れているのが見えて、ヒュ〜！って言われるのは本当に嬉しいことでした。みなさんどうもありがとうございました！楽しかったです。いいライブの後はまたライブをするのがどんどん楽しみになります。

対バンのmocksはどんなバンドなんだろうと思っていたら偶然にも元バイト仲間のバンドでした。
かっこいいサウンドとお笑いトーク、一度に２度楽しめました。ボーカルの方の声も素敵！

とても寒い日でした。
リハーサル後、同じ建物にあるバーに行きました。
お座敷があって液晶テレビがたくさんあって、フィッシュアンドチップスの食べられるいいところです。
きっと次回もお世話になるでしょう。

去年のダイスのライブからの写真をアップロードしました。マイスペースでご覧になれます。よかったら見てください。遅くなってすみません。

when it comes to our pictures,we've mainly got live pictures in public space,which sounds that we don't do anything apart from music but we go for drinks and eat together after gig and also sometimes we hang out at home and go somewhere else.we went hiking last december and saw beautiful red leaves.
We haven't yet gone to many places together so i hope we can go more.
I'd like to go to local place and have a gig.
Hope i can show you more pictures from backstage.

あたたかいご声援とダンスで盛り上げてくれて心強かったです。次は黄色い声援とかシャウトとかもあったりするのかなーなんて．．．．。

we have 9 songs now.some of you who often come to see our gig maybe know the song titles but lately we don't always say the title before we start songs.so here is the set list we played on the show.
今のところ、ice cream shout には9曲ほど持ち曲があります。新曲を1番目にやりました。まだ披露できてない曲もあります。はやくやりたいな！

If you have seen us on live shows you may have heard us shout a bit,

a kind of shy shout.

I really like those cozy pop songs but i wanna scream and shout too.

we're actually working on a new song that has been like one of my dreams.

so i hope we'll do it well on stage and recording.

We practice at a rental studio in Osaka once or twice in a week.

After we practice we usually go to an udon restaurant nearby, they have cheep and delicious things.

But yesterday, Jun, Bob and I went to a ramen shop instead. It was good. Only we ladies got napkins to put on our clothes and also ice cream after the meal.

It was nice but felt sorry for the men!

2007年春にボブとミカのデュオが結成される。それぞれが書いた曲や共作の曲をピクニックや展覧会、インスタレーション、ライブハウスなどで披露。友人が、自分がカラオケでThe Whoを歌う時の様子ををボブに英語で説明したときの言葉が、バンド名「ice cream shout」の誕生のきっかけ。

2008年の初めにはスウェーデンのレーベル、ラブラドールのThe Sound of Arrowsのデビューシングル「Danger!」を独自のテイストを盛り込んでリミックス。ice cream shout versionとして彼らのデビューEPに収録され、後にアメリカの人気ドラマ「ゴシップガール」で使用される。その後フミとジュンが加入。バンド編成になり、twee（アノラックやネオアコに属するかわいい音楽）からより幅を広げたダイナミックなポップへと進化していく。また、ギタリストのクリスの参加によってライブでのサウンドが一層厚みを帯びるようになる。
2009年初夏にはセルフタイトルのアルバムを自主リリース。スウェーデンの人気アーティストName The Petのファーストアルバム収録曲「London」のカバーを依頼され、iTunes Storeでのボーナストラックに抜擢される。秋にはスウェーデン国営ラジオの人気番組「P3 POP」でインタビューが放送された。その後、ジュンが渡米により脱退。2011年春よりミカは活動休止中。新たにドラマーのカナとアルバムのアートワークを手がけるヒャンスンがキーボードで加入。

mika and bob met and started as a duo in spring of 2007. using a combination of songs composed individually and cooperatively they played a number of acoustic sets at picnics, art installations and clubs. Upon hearing band friend, Ryu's attempt at an english description of his karaoke performance of a certain Who song, the band name ice cream shout was born.

early in 2008 mika and bob, eschewing the typical remix, contributed a cover version of the Sound of Arrows' Danger to their Labrador Records debut single. soon after, friends fumi and jun joined the band transforming the once duo into a full-on band, and their previously twee sound into a broader, more dynamic pop sound. the recent addition of chris on guitar further increased the bands live presence.

In early spring of 2009 the band released their first self-titled album. Then made a cover on Sweden's pop star Name The Pet's song " London" and it is included in her album on iTunes store as a bonus track. Mika was interviewed by "P3 POP", a pop music program on the Swedish national radio. Jun left the band for US in the winter and now we are a four piece band now and have regular live shows mostly in Osaka.

yesterday was our first show in kyoto and our fourth show overall. we played at a very nice place called UrBANGUILD for a sort of tryout show. if they like us they'll have us back apparently. we're getting better with each show but i'm still not at all satisfied with my own performance. we need a few more energetic songs to really make some noise i think. mostly we just need more experience and confidence. i had a lot of fun playing with my friends though and that's most important.

the venue was very cool and the people very kind but the acoustics of the room didn't suit our singing style. the walls are very hard and there weren't a lot of people so it's a very hard room to manage acoustically, especially with quiet singers like Mika and i. maybe it was the table blocking the monitors but at times i couldn't hear myself and it made singing difficult. i guess i just need to get used to it. in any case i hope we get to play there again.
